Joe is a retired Colonel, US Air Force. He served just over 27 years of honorable service. He has commanded four organizations, supervised over 2500 active duty and civilian personnel and managed budgets exceeding 864 million dollars throughout his military career. He has commanded a Missile Combat Crew, Special Operations Deployment Cell, Logistics Squadron, Logistics Group and an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Detachment. He ended his career as the Department Head of Aerospace Studies at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee where his organization was selected the #1 Air Force ROTC Detachment in the United States in 2003. He was also recognized as the #1 Air Force Organization in Tennessee for three consecutive years (2001-2003). A native of Enterprise, Alabama, Joe holds a BS degree in Criminology from Alabama State University and a MA degree in Business Management and Procurement from Webster University. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
